Oh geez.
I just had the awkward pleasure of watching Shore Leave and Al describe what a “Rusty Venture” is while my younger cousin and family sat on there watching.
I assure you - I did not do this on purpose. I felt uncomfortable watching that by myself. You think I want to watch it along with younger family members?

Hurricane Update
We all survived. It got pretty scary for a while though. There was a storm cell that had the potential to create tornadoes and it stayed in the same spot (right above us) for a while. Apparently there were three possible tornadoes.
Right now we have about an hour until the outer band whips around again. But it is slowly breaking up as it moves over PA.

Well...
I’m packing my bags with all my personal belongings. We are being told that we need to be prepared to evacuate. We are only leaving if there is a mandatory evacuation in place. My family has enough water, batteries, food, etc., for the three days.

Preparing for possible evacuation
Rumor has it that all low-lying areas will have to be evacuated, especially those close to the shore. While there in no official statement (and my family isn’t doing anything yet), I am mentally preparing myself for what I need to do IF we are evacuated.

LBI is under voluntary evacuation right now. Tomorrow morning a mandatory evacuation will be in place and everybody will need to be off the island. LBI floods when it drizzles. I can’t even imagine what is going to happen.

My brother and I went off seeking the one in the Pine Barrens across from my house. You are able to get really close to it depending on the trail. Of course we were on the wrong one. My Vacation Experience.
In no particular order:
Ate a ton of bacon, pork roll, and eggs for breakfast.
Drank all sorts of alcoholic beverages - including a 16 year old scotch that tasted like meat and smoke.
Went to the beach everyday. Relaxed like a champ.

Injuries after 1 Day in the Outer Banks.
1. Half-Dollar sized blisters on both of my feet from playing basketball barefoot on the hot cement.
2. Banged up elbow from falling into the jacuzzi.
3. Twisted ankle from running to the beach.
4. Sunburn.
There are 7 more days of this. I just hope I get back home with all the teeth left in my head.

Vacation!!!
I’m leaving tonight for the Outer Banks. I’ll be spending a week with family, close family friends, and some people I don’t even know. And I’ll get to celebrate my 24th birthday when I’m down there.

Finally fixed my Zippo. I’m prepared for the numerous drunken nights I’m about to have on vacation where all I want is a cigarette.
